Sportswear, A New Insight into the Future: The 2nd Global Sportswear Design Award - Creative Course Activities of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University Successfully Held

Recently, the 2nd Global Sportswear Design Award - Creative Course Activities of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University hosted by Tsinghua University - Anta Group Joint Research Center for Sports Fashion was grandly held. Focusing on the sports equipment industry, the competition gathered many supporters from around the world to collect outstanding design works from all over the world with its all-round, high-level and high-standard competition service support system. The theme of this event is "MOVEvolution", which means the fusion of the English words "Move" and "Evolution" and demonstrates the spirit of the event that is born out of sports with insight into the future. Nearly twenty experts from different fields were invited. Among them, experts from Tsinghua University include: QIN Chuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, ZHAO Chao, Associate Dean of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, Director of Tsinghua University - Anta Group Joint Research Center for Sports Fashion, and Vice President of Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research, etc.; experts from ANTA Group include: CHEN Ke, COO of ANTA Group, ZHENG Yongxian, Senior Director of Creative Research Studio of ANTA Group, YANG Jianxiang, Director of Creative Research Management Department of ANTA Group, ZHENG Zhiyi, Director of Anta Group's Science and Technology Innovation Laboratory, etc.; experts from other schools and companies include: LIU Hui, Dean of the China Institute of Sport and Health Science, Beijing Sport University, YAN Huizhi, Technology Development Manager of BASF, etc. The event also attracted many students to participate.

The event opened with speeches by QIN Chuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, and CHEN Ke, COO of Anta Group, delivered speeches respectively. Afterwards, ZHAO Chao, Director of Tsinghua University - Anta Group Joint Research Center for Sports Fashion, introduced the vision for the establishment of the center and the status of the Global Sportswear Design Award. Finally, YAN Huizhi, Technology Development Manager of BASF, LIU Hui, Dean of China Institute of Sport and Health Science, Beijing Sport University, and ZHENG Yongxian, Senior Director of Creative Research Studio of ANTA Group, gave keynote speeches on sports equipment design.

The Global Sportswear Design Award (GSDA) focuses on sports fashion, integrates art and technological innovation, follows the foundation of sports philosophy, and traces future sports fashion trends. It integrates a comprehensive, international and high-level authoritative competition system and a professional jury panel. Famous industry experts are invited to share their design experience, and leading companies support the transformation of results, drawing blueprints for designers to realize their dreams of design innovation, sports and health, career ideals and future life. With the theme of "MOVEvolution – Sportswear, A New Insight into the Future", this competition established three major design directions: "digital and intelligent future, natural environmental protection, and fashion trends", with two categories: footwear and clothing. It aims to build a creative collision stage that integrates digital intelligence, environmental protection and fashion, and gathers design innovators at home and abroad to compete in interpreting the global fashion of the sportswear industry.
